ATW80F was represented at the Biofabricate Summit, held at Newlab in Brooklyn, New York, 6-7 June, 2022. Co-Founders Tierney Thys and Carroll Dunham spoke about their work with ATW80F while exhibiting a beautiful selection of fabrics from our library - Laos hemp, Ugandan barkcloth, Japanese kudzu, Irish linen……..

The Biofabricate Summit, Co-Founded by ATW80Fabrics Board Member Suzanne Lee is a two-day event focused on what many believe to be the sustainable future of the textile and fashion world. Biofabrication works at the exciting intersection of biology and design. Mushroom-based leather, algae-based plastic, kombucha-based clothing and jewelry, and cotton spun in the lab: these are just a few of the promising innovations coming out of the biofabrication world.
